Mary's a Red Belt !!! Yahoo!

Insert Mom braggin'.... Mary did AWESOME saturday Jan. 15th.

She was Senior Student and the only one testing for Red Belt. It was cool. She was nervous enough so we didn't tell her that part until halfway through the testing.

Here pattern was flawless, she knew her pattern meaning and the Korean words she had to know. She also fought the 5 people in the circle with her self defense and it was great.

The next step for her is black tab testing which is March 26th. If she passes...(depends on how much work she puts into it or not)... then it's black belt testing in September for her.

She always fights with a SMILE on her face....not very intimdating Mary!!!

Wreaths Across America

Mary places a wreath on a grave.

Mary took this picture from 20 feet above and about 100 feet away. This flag was flown at the world trade center on 9/11/2001, It is all cut up and torn but it's symbolism is amazing.
Our Girl Scout Troops goes every December to do this service project. This was the 3rd Annual and our 2nd year and it was HUGE...26 thousand wreaths. It was bigger than Arlington National Cementary's celebration in Arlington, Virginia.

Every family should make the sacrific to do this...it's the 2nd weekend in December.

It's Monday Ya'll...

Family Sports update... Mary did break her two boards a few weeks ago and she will be testing for Red Belt saturday Jan. 15th. It will be great! she is so ready and will do well. Next is black tab testing at the end of March (If she is ready). Or September if not. Then it's 6 months to black belt testing. Now she is really practicing hard and applying herself well. She is very excited for the months ahead. She went last summer to watch her Taekwondo friends test and supported them for 5 hours that day. She know what is required of her it's up to her to do it!!!

Delynn is coming up on the District JV Swim Meet Jan. 22nd and is working hard on her practicing. She has done very well at all her meets this year.
She is looking forward to another Summer league season in April - June.
It will be interesting to see how much she has progressed now that she is in the pool 4 to 5 days per week.

Webb has put in for 3 promotions....all with Sunday's off....That's what I am hoping for. I enjoy the family going to church on sunday together and have missed that very much.
He starts this Sunday having sunday's off. He got a co-worker to switch with him so either way it's all GOOD.

And I am busy being the mom.

News ....Smooze !!!

Well it's 2011 ...The girls don't have school for 2 more days. What to do? Something Fun!!!

We had a quiet (not really) New Years celebration at home this year. The neighbors dogs freaked out because of the fireworks so they choose outside our bedroom window at 4am to bark back at a "yappy" dog through the fence. So at 4:15am ...i opened the patio door and walked to the backyard and yetlled...."go lay down and shut up". Probably not smart cause I leave next to an HPD Officer. Oh well....She was probably clapping from inside her house or wasn't home. We would finally get back to sleep and it would start again...finally at 8:30am I was fed up with it so I took a hammer outside and Delynn and fixed the problem...no I didn't hit the dogs! I put the 3 boards that the dogs knocked down back up and locked the dogs back in their own yard.

This is why we have one pet ....It's Mary's Betta fish his name is G2 (NCIS Los Angeles) is Mary's favorite show.

Thinking about new years resolutions....

Get Fit and loose a bunch of weight. (this one is my top priority)
Get more spiritual (I am lacking in my scripture study)
Stay Organized - I actually have do this one the past two days...I have the cleanest linen closets in town.

That's probably enough for 2011.... Oh yeah write more than once's a month on my blog. To my defense, I have been busy with a new job. But I love my job.

Last Test was for Blue Belt Red Tab

Isaiah is a little worried about what was coming next...I love the expression on his face. Relax...They are actually in the same class at school and are friends.
Mary actually took Dr. Carpenter down to the ground....but she is trainined to finish the move. Her techniques are good. This past weekend she actually took an adult down in an outdoor seminar and he was NOT expecting it. I definetly want her next to me in parking lots.

Papa with Mary after testing.

Belt Test for Blue Belt Red Tab. She did awesome. New the pattern and meanings Great. Fighting and self defense awesome. Board break...were are still trying and getting closer.

Check out the video from last night 11/23/2010.

Change is Good. right??? Of course.

I begin a new job on Monday and have already been welcomed by this company. What an answer to my prayers. My job was getting really slow and unchallenged so it was time to Step it Up a notch. I was presented with an opportunity and I met with the key people and gathered information and figured if I was the one ...it would come with prayer. and it did.

I couldn't be happier...Mary is testing for her red tab (2 more after this and we test for black belt Sept. 2011) this weekend. She is prepared and excited. She has really really improved. and overcome some bullying this year. She is so tender hearted.

Red Tab on Blue Belt - Oct. 16th
Red Belt - November or Dec.
Black Tab on Red Belt - March 2011 You can only test for this at a black belt testing! It's intense!!!
Black Belt - September 2011

Delynn is swimming for the high school and her first invitational is Oct. 23rd. More pictures to follow.

My kitchen floor is finished. Now we have some finishing touches to do but it's all good.
